Lepore, Jill. 2014. The Secret History of Wonder Woman. New York: Knopf.
I find it hard to wax poetic about things when I am utterly disgusted by them. I can’t find the energy to write in complete thoughts when confronted with drivel. Due in part to my disappointment and inability to give up, this took a lot longer to write than I thought it would.
I love comic books.
I love heros.
I love anti-heroes even more.
This book has none of that.
By the time Lepore glossed over the forced aspect of what became a permanent polygamous relationship I wanted to throw the book across the room.
Half way through the book and I knew who really wrote Wonder Woman.
This book is a joke.
